Founded in 2019, Mother of Light Center is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to seeking, assisting, and supporting Alexandria’s low-income youth and families.

Vision: Help the poor, needy and homeless men and women in the Alexandria area to build lives of stability and meaning

Mission: With the help of volunteers and others in our community, they are committed to loving and serving impoverished, destitute, and homeless men and women. They provide spiritual help, encouragement, support, knowledge, and assist in recognizing their talents and potential, redirecting their lives, securing employment and finding permanent housing.

How We Are Assisting

Kathleen and Eddie Arthur Mentorship Program

• We are committed to fund a four month internship program where low-income youth will work as interns and will be mentored, tutored, and encouraged.

  It will allow the interns to develop skills that are transferable to other workplaces, obtain professional work experience, and prepare for college or obtain college credit.

Help low-income youth to obtain valuable work lessons and increase the services and resources of MOLC.
